I'm a teacher and the after break "Sunday Scaries" are NO JOKE!! I'm determined to go back to school on a good note! I did a few things today to help combat the Sunday Scaries and I highly recommend trying them out if you too suffer from the Sunday Scaries!
First, I began reading a book that I've been excited to read! It's been highly recommended to me by several people I admire. (The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, for those curious.) I love reading and starting a book gives me something to look forward to at the end of my workdays!
I also did some crafting. I am currently making three quilts in my spare time for Christmas gifts. I've only made two quilts previously so the challenge of learning as I go is exciting to me! When I'm crafting, I also listen to a podcast. (The podcasts I prefer are mindlessly humours. Don't think I'm listening to something productive. 🤪) Crafting is therapy to me.
Lastly, I went to the gym. I did thirty minutes of cardio (while listening to my hot girl playlist.) and enjoyed my workout! Moving my body always makes me feel good about myself!
All this to say, I deliberately did things today that I enjoyed and make me feel good. I'm honestly prepared to tackle these next three weeks before Winter Break. To my fellow teachers, we've got this! (and since The Hunger Games is back, May the odds be ever in your favor.)
